Stone-lifting Athletic Registration

What: Open Men’s Stone lifting

Where: North Georgia Highland Games, 201 W Savannah Street, Clayton, GA. Parking will be Clayton City Hall across the creek from the pavilions.

When: September 26th, 2026 9AM-5PM

General Rules:

  1. Be on the field and attend rules meeting by 9:30 AM

  2. Sign a waiver

  3. Wear a kilt

  4. Compete in each event-Please no tacky on natural stones

    • Bavarian Deadlift-Rising weight from 270 to max-athlete will have unlimited attempts

    • Ghillie Stone Slab Carry 270 -Max Distance

    • Ghillie Stone Hold-Athlete will hold both stones in each hand for as long as possible-199 and 234

    • Ghillie Stone Press or shoulder-170lbs- 60 second time limit- 1 point for shoulder and 3 for press

    • Atlas Stone Load-Load as many stones over bar in 60 seconds

  5. No alcohol, smoking or foul language (There will be a large crowd watching)

  6. No refunds

  7. Athlete tents can be setup in athlete area and only immediate family members may be in athlete area
